Matt Woroshyl is an award winning saxophonist, composer, bandleader, and teacher, firmly rooted in the Toronto and New York City music scenes.

He has toured and performed with Jamie Cullum, Donny McCaslin, Dave Liebman, Rich Perry, Wycliffe Gordon, Eric Marienthal, Tim Ries, Jon Faddis, Aaron Goldberg, Ali Jackson, Jane Monheit, Mike Murley, Robi Botos as well as the Kyle Athayde Dance Party, the PJ Rasmussen Big Band, and KamyR, among others.

Matt has also performed extensively in venues and festivals such as the Blue Note, Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, Terminal 5, the Toronto Jazz Festival, Koerner Hall, The Sitka Jazz Festival, and the Ottawa Jazz Festival, among others. Matt is also a clinician, having worked with many students throughout Canada and the United States.

After completing his Master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music in New York, Matt is excited to be back in Toronto and teaching once again at CMC!
